In recent days, the ‘gendarmes’ have slapped travel bans on several campaigners, who are now legally prohibited from setting foot on French soil. 

Documents seen by Watchman describe the activists as “militants” and accuse them of stirring up trouble. 

Legal letters from the French government are being hand delivered to campaigners by the British police, with the threat of jail time for breaches.

Watchman does not condone direct action of any kind. It should not be up to ordinary British citizens to protect our borders. We pay good money through our taxes for the government to do all that. At the same time, Watchman does not believe failing French authorities should be using the machinery of the state (theirs and ours) to ‘shoot the messenger.’ 

Why are they targeting British citizens, threatening them with travel bans and jail, instead of focusing on the source of the problem: illegal migrants? 

A legal order issued by the French Ministry of the Interior (their equivalent of the UK Home Office) to several British activists makes fascinating reading. 

The letter: 

-highlights the legal rights of Asylum Seekers 

-describes campaigners from the ‘Raise the Colours’ organisation as ‘militants’ and accuses them of carrying out ‘xenophobic…incursions on French territory.’ 

-accuses activists of ‘seeking to document more effectively or even hinder departures of migrants towards Great Britain’ 

-accuses them of ‘claiming to want to protect British borders,’ and trying to ‘substitute themselves for the action of French law enforcement forces whose alleged ineffectiveness they denounce.’

-accuses them off scaling up their plans to ‘search for and destroy small boats used by migrants to attempt to reach Great Britain.’ 

Responding to the legal letters, activists have insisted they are not ‘xenophobic’ and are proud of their role exposing the shortcomings of the French police. 

What seems to have really rattled the French police is the suggestion that as many as 20,000 British citizens may have volunteered to travel to France to puncture small boats. Their concern is understandable, not least because they admit that militant left wingers are preparing some kind of counter action. The letter warns of the possibility of ‘violent confrontations with migrants and members of associations and ultra-left militants who support them.’ 

According to the Ministry of the Interior, in early December 2025, an ‘ultra left movement…launched calls to join and/or to support migrant aid associations’ in northern France. 

Apparently, ‘no borders’ campaigners plan to step up their ‘charitable’ work in and around the sprawling migrant camps of Calais and Dunkirk, providing more food and shelter for what they call ‘the exiled.’ 

The letter appears to blame British activists for an incident in which they were ‘threatened by a migrant carrying a knife.’ The authorities seem to have been particularly triggered by the raising of a British flag on French soil. 

Letters to British activists from the Ministry of Interior conclude that the presence of certain British activists in northern France constitutes ‘a serious threat to public order.

’They are banned from crossing the Channel ‘to prevent any risk’ that they ‘may be involved in an action of a violent nature or one that provokes hatred, violence or discrimination.’ WOW. Talk about shooting the messenger! 

Once again, Watchman does not believe British citizens should be taking the law into their own hands. Doubtless, some individuals who have headed across the Channel in recent months to confront migrants are indeed what Sir Keir Starmer would call ‘Far Right’ thugs. 

Others are simply trying to expose the truth, and do what the French police cannot or will not: namely, PEACEFULLY stop the boats. Watchman supports those who seek to document what is really going on in the migrant camps of Calais and Dunkirk. We MUST know who is heading our way. 

As we have revealed, the migrant camps are terrifyingly lawless places. Weapons and drugs are rife. 

Gunfire is a normal sound. How about the gendarmes turn their attention to that?
